What should I say to my lacrosse coach to convince him to let me play long stick midfield? Im a sophomore, 5ft 8in, 125lbs, and im on the wrestling team too. In lacrosse, I play regular old 2 way shortstick midfield, but I wanted to ask my coach If i could switch to long stick midfield for the upcoming season. What should I tell him?|||just ask if you could take a few practises at this position. with your size he may be hesitant. but practises should be fine. will take more mental preparation than physical skills. there never is no harm in asking, and giving it a try. plus you do have a assured position to return to. skills will improve even in short term practises. a fact your coach is aware off.|||Tell the coach your ******* gay and let me play or ill **** ur mom

|||I had the same problem, Cept vise versa, i wanted to move from dpole to attack, what you do is ask him if theres a time you can meet ith him and talk to him about something. When you meet with him express to him that you are interested in running long stick, and your loosing interest in the position that your playing. Try that out and see how that goes!|||Start by bringing both sticks to practise to prove to him you're interested then ask him if he'd mind if you jumped in with the d-pole.
Once he sees you're good, you might have a shot! best of luck
