Im 16 and one day i want to be a a basketball coach. i love the game. even though i don't play, i have a love for the game. I plan on majoring in Physical Education and coaching in college. Whats a good way for me to learn the system? where can i read other peoples comments, advice, plays, things like that. i want to start researching as soon as i can because i want to make a commitment to this career. Can someone give me the advice i need?|||You must be a player first, you must be familiar every position.|||Go to as many games as you can and start yelling at the referees. Thats the most important part of coaching.|||Does your community have a youth basketball program? You could volunteer to help coach a team or referee games. This will get you early hands on experience and it is fun!
Also...if you live in an area near a university or college that has a basketball program...go ask the coaching staff if you can help during practice or games.
