What are the D1 and D2 (mainly D2) rules for a coach contacting a volleyball player that's a junior in high school about a scholarship or interest? I heard something about it being a certain time of year.|||NCAA coaches can start writing to players (including email) in September of their junior year. Before that time, they can send one letter with a standard questionnaire for the recruit to fill out. Coaches can start calling players in July before their senior year.
But, remember that you can contact coaches at any time. They just cannot legally contact you back until you're a junior. If you call a coach, they can legally talk to you.
