This is my 2nd question about this topic but I really want to do my best for my volleyball tryouts in 2 wks. How do you impress your coach? I really want to make the team, and I know first impressions count!|||There are a lot of ways, but it mostly comes down to selling yourself as a person and player. As a player, just play as well as you can. There's not a lot you can do other than what you can do. :)
To show your character and coachability, always hustle everywhere. When you get feedback, nod, paraphrase or smile to show you understand, then say "thanks". Also ask lots of questions. Coaches will like this because it shows that you want to learn and appreciate their help. The other big thing is to have fun when you are playing. When your teammate gets a kill or a great dig, celebrate with them and be loud.
Hope this helps!|||To impress a coach, be on time/early to tryouts, make sure you're helping setting and cleaning up for tryouts and for different drills (this includes shagging balls), listen to the coachs ideas on how to improve yourself, make eyecontact with the coach, be loud during scrimmages, and most importantly, TRY YOUR BEST! Good luck!|||Try really hard. Demonstrate your abilities. Be vocal.
