How do i become a high school football coach without going to college and getting a degree?

I coach pee-wee football and little league softball. And I know i'm a better coach then the high school coaches we have here.|||You have all the experience necessary. Go to the next school board meeting, demand they fire the coach immediately, then give them your application/resume. You'll be hired on the spot.|||You very well may be a better coach than some of the coaches at high schools local to you, but without a college degree, your options for coaching will be limited because most schools want someone who contributes to the goals of the school first, and coaches second.

For example, my high school football coaches were guidance counselors, and gym teachers (which you need degrees or teaching certificates for). Most schools are not looking strictly for a high school football coach.

Some schools place an emphasis on high school sports and might seek out a coach in a similar manner that colleges would. But, in these cases, they would look for someone with more credentials and experience than pee-wee football.

My best guess is that you could try to make some contacts with the local coaches and try to get on their staffs in some capacity. Maybe assistant coach, or a position coach. Then, work your way up. Good luck.|||Depends on the size of the school but it will be hard without a degree. I would say help out anyway you can with the team and offer to help with the JV sqaud if they have one. Everyone wants to help varsity but its hard for them to find help for JV. Then if they like you and you contribute you never know what could happen.|||It seems the only thing a person without an education can be nowadays is a conservative talk radio host.|||Holy Dog Crap.......did I just read that...
